As a high school English teacher in Chicago Public Schools, Erika initially came to yoga to find better work-life balance. After moving to Boston in 2015, she completed her 300-hour professional teacher training and began teaching yoga full time. Since then, Erika has taught various styles of yoga in public, private, and corporate settings –to heated power flow in sweaty studios around the city, to hatha classes in dimly lit conference rooms, to restorative classes and mindfulness meditation at Harvard Business School.

Erika’s classes are physically challenging but allow time and space to pause, find stillness, and reflect on the many facets of a yoga practice -from a better understanding of alignment, to the nuance of transitions, to an exploration of the subtlety of breath, Erika encourages her students to be curious about the effects of their practice on body, mind, and spirit, and to find levity even in moments of great intensity.
